Please use this google form link if you are interested in participating in the MN Meltdown Lax Playdate. Key details are found in the google form.
The newest information is that our season will start on 4/5/21. This will also be when tryouts start. We are working to get a calendar posted for the season soon. This is all tentative and could change due to Covid-19. Thank you for your patience as there are many moving pieces going into our schedule for this spring. Go Crimson!
NEW: ALL athletes must wear masks to, from, and during practice per our latest MSHSL mandate.
At this current time, Captain's Dome practices are scheduled January 4th- March 26th. Please keep an eye on this site and our twitter page for last minute changes due to covid or weather. We will need Adult/Parent chaperones at every practice to monitor our covid plans and to also help out in case an emergency occurs.
For athletes to practice they MUST sign up to come each practice via a google document because we are allowed a maximum of 25 people per day. (This will help with contact tracing if needed.) Signups need to be done one week at a time. It will be first come first serve and girls can sign up for each day of the week if they'd like. Please only sign up if the athlete is committed to attend that day and if they need to cancel please delete your name immediately from the google document.
IMPORTANT: Coaches are not allowed at these practices so captains will be running them. The chaperone will be responsible for making sure athletes adhere to the covid plan.
Schedule: Practice dates and times can be found on the calendar. The weekly google document sign up is below. The contents of the document will be cleared on Friday each week, so you can sign up starting Saturday for the upcoming week. (Please don't delete any names that aren't yours.)
Parents: We cannot thank you enough for volunteering to chaperone! We just need you to wear a mask at all times then just feel free to read a book, etc. in the dome. The link is below to sign up. Thank you!
Covid Plan: There will be procedures in place to keep the players safe during these practices due to Covid-19. Attached you will find our full Covid-19 plan.
The most important pieces of this plan are:
Maple Grove High School Girls Lacrosse Friends and Families:
As a non-funded high school sport, our Girls Lacrosse Booster Club fundraisers are critical to our ability to support a quality program for all of our girls. More specifically, the money we raise is used for expenses such as coaching salaries, equipment, field time, referees, busing and more. In a difficult year with so many traditional fundraising opportunities not possible, we are very excited to announce our current fundraiser!
We are still selling face masks. Please reach out to Julie at firstname.lastname@example.org to coordinate payment and pickup/local delivery.
see attached flyer below with the details.
Let's get after it girls!
Here is a bunch of encouraged, but optional workouts to help you get ready for the season. There are also rules for new players and updated rules for new players. Get creative with what you use for nets, cones, ladders, hurdles, etc. If you have a parent or sibling that can help with any partner stuff that would be awesome too. Almost everything is a video link that explains how to do the drill.
Note: if you choose to do these workouts make sure you are complying to proper social distancing, and all other state and federal mandates. We ask you to NOT meet up with teammates to do these workouts. We want you healthy more than anything else.
